What are you gonna make your mum for mothers day?
September 1st, 2009Not - buy - MAKE (: I need some ideas on what to make my mum for mothers day so if you guys could give me some ideas that would be awesome ! but please let it be easy and won’t take long to make because i’m very busy and Mothers Day is in three days ! Also i can’t cook lol.
thankyou ! ps. but i want it to be nice and shows that i care , thnx .
In the past, I Always make a hand made card, but i have also made her Chocolate dipped strawberries (no talent needed), ive made little gift baskets with her favorite wine and flowers and stuff, ive made a scrap book page shadow box, iv made candles out baby food jars, stepping stones….
there’s alot of really good ideas at http://www.michaels.com/art/online/projectlist?categoryid=48
just improvise and put your own little touch in it, that’s what i do, find stuff in the house instead of buying expensive craft stuff. make up your own words and designs to use, and have fun!!
even better you could do some of the crafty projects together!

A prayer that someday I will be reunited with her in heaven. Mothers Day is a very hard holiday because my mother has been dead for 15 years and I have no human children of my own

I am a mom who LOVES handmade cards, or poems, or songs, even if you record the songs if your mom is away from you. The best gift to me would be an hour of your undivided attention–no parent/daughter bickering allowed! Make a simple meal or a couple sandwiches and fruit and take it to a park or maybe a playground. Just eat and talk and swing and slide…I’d love that because teens are usually spending more time with their friends than they are with their mom (and dad). Maybe this seems cheesy to you but to me, as a mom—priceless.
My son drove us to get a special ice cream sundae that he came to like as his favorite because it was my favorite as he was growing up. Just show that you really love her and that she is important enough to you to give some of your time to her.

Its ok. if you can’t cook. But you can do other things like decor her room with flowers & scented candles. Buy a card & paste some your childhood photos on it & write some best lines for your mom on it.
Happy Mothers Day!!!
