This song came straight from my heart one night as I prayed over my sleeping daughter. As I stared at her beautiful frame I was just moved to tears by what an amazing gift from God she really is. She was born with neurofibromatosis and is considered legally blind. Some would have advised while she was still in the womb that I should have had an abortion because she isn’t “perfect”. That would have been a tragedy. As this song has been passed around it has been used in many different ways- pro-life rallies, baby dedications, Mother’s Day events, and as a simple lullaby sung over a sleeping baby. My hope is that this song would inspire all mothers to pray over their babies (no matter how old the baby is) and to see the value of human life.

Wow, this is a lovely song. It gives me so much hope, with things like abortion happening today, it’s so relaxing finding someone that still sees life as what it truly is. A precious gift one must cherish and protect.

Thank you so much for the sweet comment. It makes me so happy to know that this song touches other people. I do believe that God was in the room when this song was written. The lyrics just fell out of my spirit when I was writing it. It only took a few minutes to write and I never added or changed anything when it was recorded. That is how I know it was God inspired. Even though you don’t have kids I hope this song inspires you to pray. People need it so desperately!

Wow what a truly amazing song, such powerful words that mean so so much. It’s really touched me & I’ve played it over & over again. A great prayer that I’ve sung over my daughter. The tears are still rolling down my cheeks as I type this! Thank you Rachel. Thank you Lord!

My baby girl is 8 weeks old and is going to get dedicated at our church within the next 3 months. I sing in church and will be singing a song of dedication to her before she is dedicated. How can I get a background track with just the music? I would love to sing this song in my church to my daughter. Thanks!

I love this song!!! I wish it was around when my little girl was born so it could have been played or sung at her dedication. I wish there was a soundtrack for us who sing. I would love to sing a other baby dedication.
