Ideas for a mothers day gift basket?

June 10th, 2009

Okay, I was thinking about making my mom a gift basket for mother's day. I was thinking about doing one with a book and a 5$ Starbucks card, but I'm not sure what else to fill it with (I have a 40$ budget). If anyone has other gift basket ideas, that would be great.

I love making gift baskets of gourmet foods. Think of special 'treats' your Mom loves and buy them; maybe certain cookies, jams, mustards… Tea, a small bag of her favorite coffee and a little chocolate.
Whatever she likes. It doesn't have to be food, either. I know the authors and books my Mom loves and I go to the thrift store and buy her books. I buy small bottles of lotion, etc. Target has mini bottles of perfume, they are about $6 for nice ones.
I think it comes down to the thoughtful things and remembering what your Mom likes.

A picture frame with a photo of you and her in it. They are quite affordable. Small size hand lotions or lip conditioner she can carry in her purse.
