I waited until the last minute to buy her something so I was going to buy flowers today (mothers day)
There are tons of flower shops around here, do you think I’d be able to find some the day of Mothers Day?
Haha yeah flowers do run out especially on mothers day, I’ve seen it so myself lol they practically sell like hot cakes, since they are the ideal gift for mothers (:.. but you know they are flowers & not hot cakes ;P
Today i’m planning on buying flowers for my mom, but mother’s day is tomorrow.
How do I hid them from her, but keep them alive?
My plan is to buy them, and put them in a bag. I can’t put them in the fridge because my mom will probably look.
If I bring them home, leave them in my room, and put them in water for a day, will they stay "fresh" ?
or should I just ask a friend if I could put it in their fridge?

I am a nanny & work for a very kind family. I have only worked with them for 3 months, but the mother (my boss) has been extremely kind and generous.

Have the kids make Mother’s Day cards, or if they’re too young, you make them and outline the children’s hands or put lipstick on them and have them kiss the card.
This shows that you’re going out of your way to do something nice, doesn’t cross the line between employee/employer, and proves that you’re teaching her children to love and respect for their mom.
Employers should be nice to you, you’re shouldering some of their mothering responsibility.
I want to go buy some fresh flowers for Mothers Day now, but I was wondering if they would last until mothers day and not be wilted when I give them to my mom.
They will keep BUT mom will not get to enjoy them as long. If you buy the flowers of Fri or Sat she’ll get a good 10 days from them. If you buy them today she’ll only get about 5. So if you were my child I would appreciate the gift but I would also wonder why you would do such a silly thing.

Do not do this. It is out of line.
If you were married, it would be a different story,and you could get a "mother-in-law" Hallmark. But just drop this idea until you are married. You are presuming a relationship that does not exist. You will be trespassing in a personal space, and make her very uncomfortable by doing this.
Should I send my mother in law flowers for Mothers Day? They would be from her son and I. His brother (22) just moved back in with them and his sister (12) also lives there. Would that be too big of a jester like I’m trying to show off? I don’t think they would get her anything more than a card.
I think it’s a lovely gesture. In addition, a son should give his mother something for her day beside a greeting card for all those dirty diapers she changed, meals she cooked, appointments she took him to, etc. etc. I’m sure she will know you’re just as much a part of it as he is.
