Laminate a photo of the two of you, made into a bookmark - so it can be a few small pics or just one, glue it to construction paper with hearts, then hole-punch the top and put a ribbon or twine of some kind through the hole.

Quick Banana Chocolate Chip Bars

1 Medium Ripe Banana, peeled
1 Cup Whole Wheat Flour
¾ Cup Brown Sugar, packed
1 Teaspoon Baking Powder
½ Teaspoon Ground Cinnamon
¼ Teaspoon Salt
1/3 Cup Olive or Vegetable Oil
2 Tablespoons Milk
1 Teaspoon Vanilla Extract
1 Egg
¼ Cup Chopped Nuts
½ Cup Chocolate Chips (or what feels good)

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray small rectangular or 9×9 square baking pan with non-stick spray.

Chop or mash banana. Combine with flour, brown sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, salt, oil, milk, vanilla and egg in large bowl. Stir in nuts and chocolate chips to this mixture OR save them to add as topping, sprinkling on top of mixture after poured into the pan. Bake for 25-30 minutes.

Isabellas (Oatmeal Cookies)

1 cup butter
1/2 cup sugar
1 tsp vanilla
1 1/4 cups flour
1 1/2 cups oats
Dash salt, optional
Powdered Sugar

Cream butter and sugar until light. Mix in vanilla, then flour, oats and salt. Chill thoroughly. Shape into small balls and place 2 inches apart on an ungreased baking sheet. Flatten with a fork, crisscrossing. Bake at 350 degrees for 12-18 minutes (depending on your oven). Sprinkle with Powdered Sugar

My girlfriend and I have been dating for about 6 weeks now and i feel as if i should get her mother something for Mothers Day. Her mom adores me but i’m yet to win over her fathers heart, so i don’t want to go overboard on the present. I was thinking a note or a card thanking her for the way she has raised her daughter and thanking her for allowing me to date her daughter and accepting me into there family. Is there any ideas or pointers you may have to make this mothers day gift one to remember?

Well, that’s a nice idea you got there. How about with the card, give the mom a coffee cup with a picture of her and her daughter (your gf) and a heart to it?
Would be a good detail and a very creative gift, it’ll just show her mom that you appreciate her daughter and you really care for them both. Which is important and it’ll give some sense of respect to her family.

It’s a tradition that every year I get a canvas and paint my mom a picture for Mothers Day. Yeah, it’s corny but it’s a nice gift in her opinion. Last year I did a butterfly, but this year I can’t think of anything. What do you think I should paint?

I am a teenager and an amatuer artist so nothing too difficlut. Also nothing stupid please, there’s no point in answering if you are just joking around.

As a mother, I absolutely love DSFG’s idea. It *IS* corny, but in a good way. It says everything, without saying too much. Straight to the point. You could always add your own touches to it, to make it more personal for her. Paint a large heart, and inside it, you could always add a few things that she likes- flowers, books, etc.
