My 11 year old sister is wondering what to give our mom for Mothers Day.We have searched it but they’re either too hard or there to much for little kids! Please Help!

I am a nanny & work for a very kind family. I have only worked with them for 3 months, but the mother (my boss) has been extremely kind and generous.
Would it be appropriate to send her flowers for Mothers Day? If so, what should I write in the greeting card?
Have the kids make Mother’s Day cards, or if they’re too young, you make them and outline the children’s hands or put lipstick on them and have them kiss the card.
This shows that you’re going out of your way to do something nice, doesn’t cross the line between employee/employer, and proves that you’re teaching her children to love and respect for their mom.
Employers should be nice to you, you’re shouldering some of their mothering responsibility.

Scrapbook may be a good idea. It is the most creative and thoughtful gift for mom on Mother’s day, i think. Make a digital scrapbook and print out to send as Mother’s Day gift.

I want to go buy some fresh flowers for mothers day now, but I was wondering if they would last until Mothers Day and not be wilted when I give them to my mom.
They will keep BUT mom will not get to enjoy them as long. If you buy the flowers of Fri or Sat she’ll get a good 10 days from them. If you buy them today she’ll only get about 5. So if you were my child I would appreciate the gift but I would also wonder why you would do such a silly thing.
My girlfriend and I have been dating for about 6 weeks now and i feel as if i should get her mother something for mothers day. Her mom adores me but i’m yet to win over her fathers heart, so i don’t want to go overboard on the present. I was thinking a note or a card thanking her for the way she has raised her daughter and thanking her for allowing me to date her daughter and accepting me into there family. Is there any ideas or pointers you may have to make this Mothers Day gift one to remember?
Well, that’s a nice idea you got there. How about with the card, give the mom a coffee cup with a picture of her and her daughter (your gf) and a heart to it?
Would be a good detail and a very creative gift, it’ll just show her mom that you appreciate her daughter and you really care for them both. Which is important and it’ll give some sense of respect to her family.

It’s a tradition that every year I get a canvas and paint my mom a picture for Mothers Day. Yeah, it’s corny but it’s a nice gift in her opinion. Last year I did a butterfly, but this year I can’t think of anything. What do you think I should paint?

As a mother, I absolutely love DSFG’s idea. It *IS* corny, but in a good way. It says everything, without saying too much. Straight to the point. You could always add your own touches to it, to make it more personal for her. Paint a large heart, and inside it, you could always add a few things that she likes- flowers, books, etc.
