That all depends …you know her better than us. I can throw out some ideas but ulitmately you know what she likes.

A picnic, garden party, or barbecue with all moms - including grandmas invited.

Many older moms get into hanging baskets, greenhouse gift certificates, dinner out with the family, a scrapbood based on her life…I say so because many make scrapbooks for others and never get around to their own childhood memories but would be over-joyed with one made by another.

A bit younger….well the same but possibly also, a manicure or spa visit, certificate to have her car detailed, favorite dress shop, gardening supplies/plants, ballroom group class for one month, hobby cert., favorite shoe store cert….State Park sticker if she camps or camping equipment. If she's getting into healthy foods possibly a gift cert. to a whole food store.

Things that do not cost as much….A dinner on mom's day with homemade cake and her favorite foods - rent a movie U both think she might like or play a board game, a cute little appointment book for scrapbooking together on certain dates that requires everyone to gather the family photos….

I brought her a nice necklace and a card. I wanted to get a cake and flowers but I dont have enough time to get them.
I'm also taking her out tomorrow, so is that ok?

yes, that will make her happy. but whether or not you get to buy her all these other things, don't forget that the most important is 'you'. so be sure to be there for her.

My son asked me tonight to give him ideas of what he could make me for Mothers Day morning for breakfast. I am a single mom and he wants to do this all by himself for me. He can use the mircrowave and the toaster. Does anyone have any ideas that I may give him? He really wants to do this special treat for me. Thanks.

How precious Eggo waffles are simple or maybe toaster strudel with the icing packets. He could do it all by himself and still be safe. They also make pre-cooked bacon all he would have to do it heat it up in the microwave. You could buy some fruit cocktail to. I hope all goes well with his big plans!
